Local Massachusetts delivery
Home Medical Equipment Delivery, Setup & Installation
Getting the right medical equipment is only part of the process. It also needs to get into your home, into the right location, and ready for use.
Prosperity Health helps coordinate home medical equipment delivery, setup, installation, and equipment guidance across Greater Boston, the North Shore, and the South Shore.

From Your Call to Your Home
We want the process to be straightforward, especially when equipment is needed during an already busy or stressful time.
1. Tell Us What You Need
Start by telling us what equipment you're looking for, who it is for, where you're located, and when you need it.
If you aren't sure of the exact model or features, that's okay. We can discuss the available options and any information we need before moving forward.
For equipment with specific medical or prescription requirements, we'll work from the information provided by you and your healthcare provider.
2. Confirm Your Equipment & Details
Once we've identified the appropriate equipment, we'll review the details with you.
Depending on the situation, this may include:
Equipment type and model
Rental or purchase
Accessories
Rental period
Prescription or documentation requirements
Pricing
Delivery location
Installation considerations
Timing and availability
For rentals, we'll also explain how extensions and eventual pickup work.
3. Schedule Delivery
Once everything is confirmed, we'll coordinate a delivery date and time.
Preparing for Medical Equipment Delivery
A little preparation can make delivery and setup much easier.
Depending on the equipment, we may ask you to:
Clear furniture from the area where equipment will be placed
Create an open path from the entrance to the room
Consider doorways, hallways, stairs, and other access points
Make electrical outlets accessible when powered equipment is involved
Confirm room or entryway dimensions
Make enough room around equipment for the person using it and anyone providing care
Provide information or photos of stairs, porches, or entryways for accessibility equipment
You don't need to figure everything out yourself. If measurements, photos, or additional information are needed, we'll explain what will help us prepare.

Delivery, Setup or Installation: What's the Difference?
Not every piece of home medical equipment arrives the same way.
A CPAP machine doesn't require the same process as a hospital bed. And delivering a mobility scooter is very different from installing a ramp or stair lift.
That's why Prosperity Health approaches delivery according to the equipment and the home.
Hospital Beds
Hospital beds are delivered to the home and placed in the designated area. Our delivery team can assemble the bed and applicable accessories, test its operation, and demonstrate its basic controls and adjustments.
Before delivery, having the room and delivery path cleared can help make the process smoother.

Setup, Testing & Equipment Guidance
For applicable equipment, our team doesn't simply leave it at the door.
The setup process may include:
Placement
Getting the equipment into the appropriate location in the home.
Assembly or Installation
Putting together or installing equipment according to its requirements.
Testing
What Happens After Delivery?
Your needs may change after the equipment arrives.
For rental equipment, you may need to extend the rental period or eventually arrange pickup. Purchased equipment may have manufacturer-specific warranty terms. Some equipment may require replacement supplies, maintenance, or additional accessories over time.
If you have a question about equipment you've received from Prosperity Health, contact us and we'll help determine the appropriate next step.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you deliver medical equipment to the home?
Yes. Prosperity Health provides local delivery for applicable home medical equipment throughout our service area. The delivery and setup process varies depending on the equipment.
Will you set up the equipment?
For equipment requiring setup, our team can assemble or prepare it for use as applicable. Equipment such as ramps and stair lifts may require a more involved installation process.
Will you show us how the equipment works?
For applicable equipment, our team can demonstrate basic operation and controls during setup. Always refer to manufacturer instructions for complete operating and safety information.
What should I do before delivery?
Clear the area where the equipment will be placed and make sure there is an accessible path into the home. Depending on the equipment, we may also need measurements, photos, information about stairs or entryways, or access to an electrical outlet.
What happens when I'm finished with rental equipment?
Contact Prosperity Health when you no longer need rented equipment so pickup can be coordinated. If you need the equipment longer than originally expected, contact us to discuss extending the rental period.

Still Have a Question?
You don't need to understand every equipment type, feature, rental term, or measurement before contacting us.
Tell us what's going on, what equipment you're looking for, and where you're located. We'll help you understand the available options and the practical next steps.
